Xin Liang Lu:

Born during the aftermath of culture revolution, an only child by law, Xin Liang grew up in the French concession district of once the coolest city in the world in 1930s, at the very end of the longest river in China. For 10 years she had to pass by Zhou En-lai and Sun Yat-sen ‘s old houses and wonder on the bright street of Avenue Joffrey Rd to hang out with the wildest rebels in the 90′s of China, at a school that is right across street to once the most fancy hotel in the city.

Played crazily but studied without knowing day or night, with the help of caffeine, Xin Liang got to sit in the classes with the brightest in the nation. As knowledge and competition were not able to fill her soul in those years, she wondered off for different excitement.

Falling in love with Eileen Chang and her books in her teens, Xin Liang has been dreaming her dreams of the 1930s of strange city, where the culture of east and west strangely but well-blended together. It is at her youth, she began the realization that this city at the present age is not where she belong, as the boredom in the college life was crushing her, she made her mind and picked up two heavy luggage and began her life in the long winter filled minneapolis. Driving back and forth on the bridge that leads from east bank to west bank of Mississippi river, the bridge that doesn’t exist any more. It was also, along the bank of the river, she began her lover for running.

In the small church called T4C, she found her ultimate lover and made the commitment to enter into the wonderful relationship with Him.

After wondering in the mid-west for three years, she moved to the big Apple and began her new adventure. Through the grad program, she was able to make kids do math. Unsatisfied with the little she knew about the Book, she decided to take classes in another grad school to learn more…

Couple years after, inspired by the book “Three cups of tea”, she had a new dream: opening schools and educational programs in the rural area, don’t know where, wherever that’s needed, one at a time. In order to make that come true, she decided to enter another season of couple-years-of-work-and-study life in the best education school in north america. Thus another page is waiting to be opened.

In the journey that she’s taking, she knows that she’s too much blessed and very fortunate. she want to give her deep appreciation to the seemingly ordinary but real saints who walked aside with her, even for very short period of her life, as well as the famous ones who assisted her with their writings and sermons, and the last but most important, the grace and mercy of the Almighty that brought her through the toughest times in her life. Always remember, always thankful…
